Pudsey Bear is the official Logo and Mascot for the BBC Charity Children in Need. Dressed in nothing but a spotty bandana and sporting plush yellow fur, Pudsey raises millions of pounds each year, supporting the Children in Need team in presenting the televised BBC event and helping to change the lives of sick and disabled children throughout the UK.
First designed in 1985, today’s Pudsey has undergone a slight update from the original, with the introduction of multi-coloured spots on the Bandana and the removal of his black buttons but he’s just as cute and friendly as he has ever been.
2015 saw a record year of fundraising for Children in Need with Pudsey helping to raise over £37 million during the televised event for local UK charities.
