After the roaring success of the 1966 World Cup and its pioneering mascot World Cup Willie, Birmingham City decided they needed a character of their own to help entertain the fans and lift spirits around St Andrews. A London based agency was commissioned to come up with the design and by the end of 1966, Beau Brummie was born.
In 1997, Beau made his first furry appearance on the sidelines and hasn’t looked back since. A facelift in 2010 brings us to the current version of Beau who now parades the sidelines with his new female companion Belle.
A half fur costume, Beau also consists of a lightweight ABS head. Please Note: This specific costume is not for sale or hire. It is subject to copyright and is here for your inspiration only.
